From mid-November through early January, the resort becomes a winter wonderland of extraordinary beauty — twinkling lights, festive shows, snow falling on Main Street USA, and Father Christmas himself strolling through the park. One of the most iconic moments at Disneyland Paris Christmas is the "snow" that falls on Main Street USA during the day. Artificial snow (soap bubbles that feel like real snow) creates a magical winter atmosphere that delights children and adults alike. It happens multiple times per day during the season — check the park schedule for timings.
A spectacular Christmas tree, up to 24 metres tall, dominates the centre of Main Street USA. Decorated with thousands of lights and Disney ornaments, it becomes the centrepiece of evening events and is an extraordinary photo opportunity, especially when illuminated at night. The tree-lighting ceremony at the start of the season is a particularly special event.
The Christmas-themed cavalcade replaces the regular parade during the season and runs twice daily, featuring Mickey, Minnie and friends in their full Christmas costumes alongside festive floats, music and dancers. New for this season, a brand-new musical celebration takes over Sleeping Beauty Castle, with Minnie Mouse and Mrs Claus performing original Christmas carols. The park's flagship evening show, Disney Illuminations, receives a special Christmas version with enhanced castle projections, fireworks and festive music. This is performed nightly during the season and draws enormous crowds. Secure your spot 45–60 minutes before the show begins.
Pere Noël (Father Christmas) makes appearances throughout the season for meet-and-greets — a unique opportunity for children to meet Santa Claus in a Disney setting. This season, Santa has a brand-new home inside Disney Clothiers on Main Street, U.S.A. Queue times can exceed 60 minutes for this experience; check the app for scheduled times and arrive early.
New for this season, the World of Frozen area at Disney Adventure World celebrates its first-ever Christmas with refined festive decorations and a towering Christmas tree. Daily holiday celebrations include a 15-minute musical interlude led by Olaf alongside a Christmas carol choir, joined by Queen Anna and Queen Elsa — a must-see addition for Frozen fans visiting this year.
Disney-owned hotels offer special Christmas meals and experiences during the season, including themed dinners with character appearances. These must be booked well in advance as they sell out quickly — particularly around the 25th and 31st of December.
December 31st is one of the most spectacular — and most expensive — days at Disneyland Paris. Each of the two Disney parks hosts its own New Year's Eve Party this year, with DJ sets and a dedicated midnight fireworks display, while Disney Adventure World adds a drone and fireworks show above World of Frozen. A special ticket (typically separate from the regular park ticket) is required. Book months in advance.
